This special meeting provides an opportunity to acknowledge VRC members for their support and loyalty in the 2024/25 racing season.
This meeting plays host to The Byerley Handicap (1800m) – a coveted event for owners and trainers who will be seeking ballot exempt path for their two-year-olds into the 2025 Group 1 Victoria Derby or the 2025 Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m).
Also on the card, the Deane Lester Flemington Cup (2800m) – a race 12 years older than the Lexus Melbourne Cup and named in honour of one of racing’s great people who passed away in 2023.
